HOUSTON, TX (June 30, 2011) – Project management consulting company Integrated Consulting today released Josh Medica's presentation points, as the guest of honor for the inaugural Korean Society of Project Management (KSPM) PMI Symposium in Seoul, South Korea early June.
The Symposium, the first for the Korean Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI), was attended by industry professionals and global PMI executives. The Symposium covered topics which included PM performance management, project PMO, PM training and project management solutions. All attendees were given the tools and information to improve their skill set, learn new techniques and exchange ideas on repositioning themselves in an increasingly competitive Korean marketplace.
Medica presented to the delegates, who included those in the oil and gas, IT and energy industries, on best practices, tips and techniques. During the Symposium he integrated the business needs and importance of project management - using real business examples to illustrate the importance of utilizing the academic learning practices in real world business applications.
"Integrated Consulting was privileged to be the guest of honor at such an important milestone in Korean project management history," said Medica, who has been a member and supporter of the PMI organization since his company's inception in 2005.
"I took away many new ideas from the attendees and hope they took away a better understanding of the alignment between business and academia," added Medica.
The first chapter of PMI in Korea, the organization is planning monthly meetings as the local membership base within the organization rapidly grows.
